After years without the slightest French presence within the very closed club of Formula 1 drivers , Sébastien Bourdais will make his entry into the elite of world drivers.
The triple champion of F3000 and quadruple champion of Champ Car should indeed sign a contract with the team Toro Rosso .
According to several sources, he will have to accept a big reduction in salary compared to the contributions of his contracts across the Atlantic, but for Bourdais driving in Formula 1 remains the dream of his childhood, regardless of the cost.
A pilot to follow from the start of the next season!

Big mistake in his record, he participated 3 times in the F3000 field but he won it only once (2002), in Champcar he is triple world champion (2004, 2005 and 2006) and he was the best rookie (4th) in 2003.
For his arrival at Toro Rosso, let’s hope that it will be a real springboard to land in a top team in 2009 (McLaren, Ferrari, Renault, BMW) in which he will be able to express his talent, because good Toro Rosso is not the panade, there are worse but much better too.
Otherwise if Toro Rosso does not formalize Bourdais (in particular for marketing problems, the Red Bull drink is banned in France so no interest for Toro Rosso to have a French driver except his talent (dixit Berger and Tost), Another chance remains in the person of Franck Montagny who has contacts with Prodrive, 12th and new team to sign up for the 2008 championship.
